2009 Update
Greetings Familytables Fans
by webmaster on Wed Oct 28, 2009 10:19 am
It has been a long time since I updated this blog. A lot has happened to keep me away from this project. The most recent event is the production of an on line Introductory Biblical Greek class. This new class is nothing like any other Biblical Greek class taught live or on line. It is presented as a study aid and a research tool. It is NOT presented as a language. There is no memorization of vocabulary, charts, declensions, conjugations etc. There are only six lessons plus a graduates page. You can check it out at http://koinebible.com and http://koinebible.net. Bless -- Webmaster

3D Email Cards
Greetings Fans,
by webmaster on Wed Sep 03, 2008 4:07 pm
I finally got around to uploading the 3D card feature that I planned months ago. There are only a dozen images available, all views from Headquarters. I had some extra time today so I tested it, debugged it and tried out the mail function. A couple of things might be of interest. You can add a personal note the the card that appears as text above the card. The card is both embedded in the email message area and is offered as an attachment so you can save it to your hard drive and mail it later to someone else from your own machine. The attachment is named with a real long number. That number matches a backup copy on familytables. I can in a pinch, get send you another copy if you didn't save it or lost the card, but I would have to do a manual match to the long number. If you lost the number, I can't help you. I didn't secure the 3D cards, for only members. If a non-member, wants to send a card with a photo of International Headquarters, let them! The more folks know about us, the better, right? Enjoy this new feature. -- Webmaster
Odd Names in the Forum
Greetings Fans,
by webmaster on Sun Aug 31, 2008 1:25 pm
Sometimes when you login into the forum, there are odd names showing at the bottom for the most recently registered user. You might have also noticed that they also go away after awhile. These are spammers applying for membership. They use automated programs to register website addresses in every BB2 forum on the internet. They are trying to market a variety of products from condoms, to Viagra, to cigarettes to cheap airline tickets to what have you. Many of these website are malicious. Don't ever click on such a link! They actually get paid by the sponsoring website to do this. They cannot cause any harm to our forum as no one can register or login with out proper approval by the webmaster -- me. However, it is a daily activity and annoyance to have to delete their applications, sometimes several times a day. For them it's just a paid game and extra income. For us it's just a bother but that's life on the internet. Bless, -- Webmaster What is available... Silence is not golden view all blog entries... Powered by phpBB Blog. |
