Being the son of a Christian minister, I was introduced to the subject of heaven, hell and death at the young age of four. By the time I was eight, I developed a keen interest in the psychic realm, communications with the dead and fortune telling. As a teenager, the Ouija board, Tarot cards, and the I Ching occupied much of my time. When I was considering enrolling in the foundational class offered by The Way Ministry, I was attending a spiritualist church, and had been offered free training to become a medium. Needless to say, I chose to take the foundational class!

The door to the energized, destructive evil that resides in the "psychic realm" opens on one simple concept - that the dead are alive. This concept agrees with one of the first lies recorded in God's Word - "...ye shall not surely die...". Without a foundation for truth, and an understanding of the subject of this book, mankind remains helpless against the onslaught of the lies and error that is promulgated in the sense realm.

The Word of God and the concepts taught in this book brought me the deliverance I needed, to the end that I have never again been tricked by the senses realm regarding death, heaven and hell. As my children grew up, they were taught the simplicity of God's Word regarding death, and avoided the errors that I made. The world offers false comfort to those grieving at the loss of loved ones. Knowledge of the truth, that the dead are not alive now, allows us to appropriate and experience the real comfort from God, recorded in I Thessalonians 4:13 - 18.

The first chapter, "Are the Dead Alive Now?" answers this question from God's Word. The second chapter "When Shall the Dead Be Made Alive?" is an over-view of "The Return of Christ", and dispels much of the confusion that exists regarding this subject. Chapters three through eleven handle the scriptures that form the doctrinal foundation of current religious teachings that "...the dead are alive now...".

There are four appendices. The first two deal with foundational concepts which need to be understood. These are "The differences between "To Kill" and "To Destroy", and "Body, Soul, and Spirit". The last two appendices deal with the Hebrew and Greek words associated with death and hell.

Mastery of the information in this small volume will enable you to stand against the adversary, bring God's deliverance to yourself, and equip you to expertly handle this subject when helping others.
