Introduction
One special part of this radio ministry was a young man who became the announcer for the broadcast: Dick Konkle. All this happened years before I happened along but I did get to meet Dick at a Sunday night service at The Way's Teaching center and listened to him read, in his best announcer voice, some of Dr. Wierwille's favorite poems. I had never taken an interest in poetry until I heard Dick read. I also saw Dr. Wierwille's love for poetry and his appreciation for Dick's special voice and style. To this day I cannot read a poem of inspiration without hearing Dick's voice in my mind.

On these pages are special poems that inspired Dr. Wierwille and other believers through the years. Included here are also orginal poems by believers and poems we just all love to read and hear. Take some time to enjoy this special feature of your Family Tables web site. -- Webmaster
When I was young in The Way ministry, I was sometimes asked if I was going to join the "Youth Caravan". I had to ask what it was. It is written up in Mrs. Wierwille's book "Born Again to Serve". The Youth Caravan was the young people from Dr. Weirwille's former church who performed a radio broadcast called the "The Chimes Hour Youth Caravan." It's  purpose was "For the furtherance of the gospel of Jesus Christ by radio or by personal appearance." [Wierwille, page 61]  Learning this, I began to understand how much Dr. Wierwille loved reaching out to people in every way he could.
